Manager's style
The idea that a manager should be a perfect well rounded? adjusted individual is misleading and dangerous.
It puts pressure on the manager which may bring him/her to take inappropriate decisions or to resort (rarely willingly)
to authority or harassment. Expert 5ATM shows that these dysfunctions result from an absence of global
systemic understanding of working organizations.
Managers' management style results from three interacting factors: personality (personal history and potential),
management experience (training, culture) and professional environment (corporate culture, corporate governance,
management practice expected). As you go through Expert 5ATM Systemic Theory, you will learn to analyse all these
elements from separate points of view. You will learn to distinguish that which depends on your own input (social
and professional) from that which comes from the environment. The capacity to carry out a rational analysis of the
complex role of managers provides a great opportunity to progress in one's management practice. From a pragmatic point
of view, Expert 5ATM helps to understand a manager's profile, to value personal strengths and to open the path for
progression.
We will explore the five different aspect of a manager's styles. This exercise will enable managers to discover
their very own palette.
